Technical nautical garments to enjoy the sea all year round

Helly Hansen is a Norwegian producer of textiles and gear for sports, ocean and mountain work, headquartered in Oslo, Norway. From its founding in 1877 until October 2009, the company was headquartered in Moss, Norway.

Helly Hansen's origins date back to 1877, when Norwegian captain Helly Juell Hansen and his wife started producing waterproof suits, pants and tarpaulins. The brand had a good market launch, with 10,000 pieces sold in the first five years.

From this point on, the company began exporting its products and introducing multiple technical advances in its garments. Some examples are the CIS system, which allows the combination of several layers in a single garment, and Lifa, a moisture management and elimination system used by outdoor sports professionals.

Today, Helly Hansen produces high quality garments for skiing, mountaineering and sailing in the most difficult conditions.
