Beuchat

Innovation to enjoy marine exploration

Beuchat was founded by Georges Beuchat in Marseille, France. At the age of 24, this young spearfishing enthusiast imagined and created products for the exploration of the sea beneath its surface.

In 1947, Beuchat invented the first underwater speargun, thanks to the creation of the first rubber band propulsion system. This innovation was followed by many others: the invention of an isothermal diving suit, with materials and techniques that created the basis of modern diving and led to the famous Tarzan suit years later, or the launch - in 1958 - of the Compensator mask, the first inclined glass mask with nasal relief for compensation, and the nozzle fins.

Beuchat is synonymous with innovation and comfort underwater.
